Ponsse Plc, manufacturer of cut-to-length forest machines, has chosen Tamtron’s wireless One Timber weighing link for the technology of their new crane scale system, PONSSE Scale. The supplier selection strengthens Tamtron’s position as a global weighing solution provider, offering precise and reliable solutions for weighing wood materials. Ponsse Plc introduced the new scale system to its customers and partners on 14th of June 2024 at a launch event in Sweden.
The operation of One Timber weighing link is based on strain gauge weighing technology, which is known in the market for its precision and reliability. This technology has gained great popularity as a weighing solution for timber cranes worldwide. The link supplied by Tamtron is designed for the demanding conditions of the forestry industry. Together with a modern weighing software, the link guarantees accurate and reliable weighing results in all conditions. The scale sends the weighing data forward to the user interface of Ponsse’s forwarder.
